Mansion De Panne

A stately classic mansion on the coast was completely transformed into a modern luxury home while preserving its authentic character.

This project involved a thorough full renovation of a stately mansion in De Panne. The ambition was to transform a characterful home into a timeless masterpiece, with respect for its unique architecture and a clear focus on modern living comfort.

The vision was to preserve the classic character of the mansion while elevating it to modern luxury standards. The owners wanted a warm home that reconciles functionality with aesthetics.

The living and dining rooms were converted into open, light-filled spaces with natural tones, herringbone parquet and large glazed sections along the curved façade for maximum natural light, complemented by rattan accents and elegant furnishings. The kitchens were given a sleek design with wooden worktops and tiled splashbacks, fitted with energy-efficient appliances and executed in two styles: one with warm wooden elements and one with black accents.

The bedrooms were finished with natural tones, parquet floors and warm ambient lighting, with a master bedroom featuring rattan accents and a sleeping nook beneath the well-insulated roof. The bathrooms combine white marble with warm wood accents, modern baths, stylish washbasins and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The classic wooden staircase was restored with a dark-wood handrail and a contemporary white finish, so that traditional craftsmanship gains a modern touch. In addition, new windows with high-performance glazing were installed, a utility room with a modern boiler was fitted out and a raised wooden terrace was laid, complemented by general painting work and decorative elements.
