House Serskamp

Serskamp · 2024

A detached house underwent a complete metamorphosis with an eye for functionality, aesthetics and energy efficiency.

This detached house in Serskamp underwent a complete metamorphosis, with attention to practical functionality, aesthetic design and improved energy efficiency. Borgwal Renovaties was responsible for the full renovation and the guidance from start to finish.

Throughout the home, light wood was consistently chosen, with parquet and wooden cabinets that lend a warm look and natural flair. The façade combines partial wooden cladding with white-plastered walls. Clean lines and black steel accents in the taps and sanitary fittings give the whole a contemporary touch within a neutral colour palette.

The open kitchen forms the beating heart of the home, with wooden cabinets, a white island with bar stools and black taps. A spacious, light-filled hallway with beige tiles connects the living spaces, while the living room, with its large sliding windows, a raised ceiling and parquet, radiates a serene atmosphere.

The bedrooms were given new roof windows, wooden floors and work spaces. Two bathrooms were modernised with walk-in showers, beige tiles, wooden washbasin units and black taps. Outside, a tiled terrace and sliding doors provide direct access to the garden.

During the renovation, the emphasis was on high-performance glazing with low U-values, improved insulation in walls and roofs and a considered optimisation of daylight through large windows and roof lights.
